VISIONARY

Annette Hansen is a Canadian-born visionary artist working with natural patterns, subliminal fractals and liminal states. Her art is created by envisioning, replicating and studying nature, wisdom traditions and urban landscapes.

Hansen has graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of British Columbia in 1990. The artworks start out as hand-crafted master drawings with ink or graphite on mylar and end up in laser-cut woodwork, glasswork, textiles, canvas and sculptings.

“Civilisations”, “Transitions” and “Wildlife” depict man-made, imaginary and natural forms, revealing their universal pattern language, the order in nature and the nature of order. Annette’s currently situated in Helsinki, Finland and working on her next series “Luminance”.
